Srinagar: Baramulla Lok Sabha MP Sheikh Abdul Rashid, alias Engineer Rashid, arrived in Kashmir Valley on Thursday. He warned that BJP will perish if it doesn't resolve the Kashmir issue. After arriving at the airport, Rashid prostrated on the ground, saying, "nobody can suppress people of J&K as truth is with us."

He then drove to a sports stadium in Delina area of Baramulla and addressed a rally. Rashid's release has rattled other parties and have amplified their anti-BJP rhetoric. "Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Rahul Gandhi, all of them must be seeing who the people of J&K stand with. Modi's naya Kashmir drama and slogan has turned out to be a big flop," he said at the rally. "This naya Kashmir was to kill, arrest, harass and humiliate people. Kashmiris don't like to pelt stones, but that doesn't mean we will surrender before your power," he said. He raised the slogan, "Lakhanpur se Gilgit Tak, Sara Kashmir Hamara Hai."

370 challenge to OMAR, Mufti

"They (NC's Omar Abdullah and PDP's Mehbooba Mufti) formed the People's Alliance of the Gupkar Declaration and didn't invite my party. If they share their road map to restore Article 370, my candidates will not contest on any of the seats," he said.
