Nayab Singh Saini Cabinet: Anil Vij joins as minister; Shruti Choudhary and Narbir Singh sworn in

Nayab Singh Saini was sworn in as Haryana's chief minister on Thursday, beginning his second term. Several leaders also took the oath as cabinet ministers, including Ambala Cantt MLA Anil Vij, Krishan Lal Panwar, Rao Narbir Singh, Mahipal Dhanda, and Vipul Goel.

Panwar, representing Israna, and Singh, from Badshahpur, were among the key appointments in the newly formed government.

Two women also joined the cabinet as ministers: Tosham MLA Shruti Choudhary and Ateli MLA Arti Singh Rao. They were part of a larger group of ministers, which included Barwala MLA Ranbir Gangwa and Narwana MLA Krishan Kumar Bedi, who also took the oath.

The BJP's choice of the day for the swearing-in ceremony is significant as it is Valmiki Jayanti. Sage-poet Valmiki is the author of the Hindu epic Ramayana and a revered figure, especially among Dalits.

Haryana can have a maximum of 14 ministers, including the chief minister.

Chief ministers of several NDA ruled states were in attendance as were BJP president J P Nadda, Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah.
