The Commission has further asked for a detailed report from the state government. After verifying the facts from the government, the Commission found no violation of in the ongoing recruitment process by HSSC and SPSC, according to the existing MCC instructions.

The Commission has found that the recruitment process was initiated before the announcement of election dates , hence was within the existing MCC instructions. It observed that statutory authorities can continue their work.

However, in order to maintain level playing field and to ensure that no undue advantage is accrued to anyone, the Commission has directed that announcement of results of these recruitment by the concerned authorities (HSSC & HPSC) shall not be released till the completion of assembly elections in the state.

Haryana will vote on October 1 and the results will be announced by October 4. The state is currently governed by BJP with Nayab Singh Saini as its chief minister. BJP emerged as the single largest party with 40 seats in the 90-seat Assembly. Unable to cross the majority mark of 46, it formed a post-poll alliance with Jananayak Janata Party, which had won 10 seats, and independent candidates. The alliance lasted only till March 2024, but the BJP continued to be in power following a trust vote.
