Haryana bypoll: BJP's Bhavya Bishnoi wins Adampur

Haryana's Adampur seat witnessed the contest between BJP, Congress, Indian National Lok Dal, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with a total voter turnout of 75.25 per cent.

Total voter turnout was 75.25 per cent.
BJP's Bhavya Bishnoi on Sunday won the Adampur assembly segment by defeating his nearest rival and Congress candidate Jai Prakash by a margin of around 16,000 votes.

The final victory margin is yet to be declared, said an official.

Counting of votes for the bypoll to Adampur began at 8 am amid tight security arrangements.


Notably, the Adampur seat is considered a stronghold of Bishnoi.
