Gurgaon Assembly Election Result 2024: Population and Voter Demographics

According to the 2011 Census, Gurgaon's population stood at 1,514,432, comprising 816,690 males and 697,742 females. The constituency includes approximately 35,110 Scheduled Caste (SC) voters, making up 9.71% of the electorate. Gurgaon also boasts the highest literacy rate in Haryana at 84.7%.

In the 2019 Assembly elections, BJP's Sudhir Singla secured victory with 81,953 votes, accounting for 43.3% of the total votes. He defeated Independent candidate Mohit Grover, who received 48,638 votes (25.7%).

Similarly, in the 2014 elections, BJP’s Umesh Aggarwal won decisively with 106,106 votes, capturing 55.86% of the total vote share. He defeated Gopi Chand Gahlot of the INLD, who garnered 22,011 votes (11.59%).
