New Delhi: The Congress on Sunday night released nine more candidates for the Haryana Assembly election. The party fielded Anirudh Chowdhury, who is associated with the BCCI and is a grandson of former Chief Minister late Bansi Lal, from Tosham against his cousin and BJP candidate Shruti Chowdhury, daughter of BJP MP Kiran Choudhry.

Former BJP MP-turned Congressman Brijendra Singh, better known as son of former union minister Virender Singh, is pitted from their home pitch of Uchana Kalan. Former Speaker Kuldeep Sharma has been fielded from Ganour. Senior politician Anand Singh Dangi's son Balram Dangi is fielded from Meham.

Other candidates included Ashok Arora (Thanesar), Paramvir Singh (Tohana), Manju Chowdhury (Nagel Chaudhary), Vardhan Yadav (Badshahpur) and Mohit Grover (Gurugram). With this Congress has so far released a total of 41 candidates in Haryana.
