PM Modi launches party election slogan 'I created this Gujarat'

After the dates of Gujarat elections were announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed his first poll rally in Kaparda of Valsad district on Sunday. Launching the campaign slogan "Aa Gujarat mai bandy chhe" (I created this Gujarat), Modi claimed that neither Narendra (PM) nor Bhupendra (incumbent chief minister) is fighting this election, but is it the people of the state who are fighting this election.

It may be noted here that national coordinator of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Arvind Kejriwal in his public interactions has been saying that people who are seeking change in Gujarat are campaigning for him.

"Gujarat never accepts hatemongers," Modi said, targeting the opposition. "People of Gujarat have driven out those who have tried to defame the state . They'll (hatemongers) meet the same fate in this election."


He said Gujarat has identified the gang that has been spreading lies against it and now it won't fall into any trap any more. "This is why now they are troubled as to why the people of Gujarat are not being affected in spite of so many untruths and misinformation being spread," he said. "People of Gujarat are unaffected because it is the people who have made Gujarat," Modi said. He also said the victory record of Bhupendra Patel should be bigger than his. Modi said he has told the state unit of BJP that he would give as much time or campaigning as possible.

The PM listed out the development works of the BJP government in various areas, particularly in the tribal areas. He said for him,the letter "A' stands for Adivasi and it is a matter of privilege that he is starting the campaign from a tribal district.
