The new Gujarat Government under Bhupendra Patel will be sworn in at 2 pm on December 12 at the Helipad ground behind the state secretariat in Gandhinagar in the presence of PM Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah.

Speaking to the media after the victory, Gujarat BJP chief CR Paatil said the party has registered three simultaneous records in this election. Patil said other political parties also made big plans and tall promises in Gujarat. "They were anyway never meant to come to power and hence, they wanted to mislead the people of Gujarat with promises that no party can ever fulfil."

Chief minister Bhupendra Patel thanked the voters for rejecting the "anti-national forces". Thanking the PM and Shah, Patel said the two remained with the party as ordinary workers and continuously guided the workers.
