Gujarat BJP to seek public opinion for poll manifesto

The Gujarat BJP is set to launch a campaign to reach out to people to know the wishes of voters before it issues its election manifesto. The campaign, called "Agresar Gujarat" or Gujarat Ahead, will be launched by BJP Gujarat president CR Patil on Saturday at the party headquarters.

Meanwhile, the senior leadership of the party continued to deliberate upon forming panels of prospective candidates for the second day on Saturday as well. The meeting is being attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, union ministers Purushottam Rupala and Mansukh Mandaviya, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, former chief minister Vijay Rupani and other senior leaders.On Saturday, the meeting discussed 58 seats from 15 districts including Gandhinagar city and district, Mehesana, Amreli, Botad, Ahmedabad city and district, Bhavnagar City and District, Kheda, Panchmahal, Navsari, Bharuch, Jamnagar city and District and Devbhumi Dwarka.

On Saturday, 77 remaining seats from 13 districts are expected to be discussed.A panel of three to four names of prospective candidates which is being prepared at these meetings will be forwarded to the central parliamentary board.
