Congress leader Rahul Gandhi promises farm loan waiver, LPG cylinder at Rs 500 ahead of Gujarat polls

Farmers in Gujarat were promised a loan waiver of up to Rs 3 lakh by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. He also promised to provide them with LPG cylinders at Rs 500 instead of the current price of Rs 1,000, free electricity to farmers, and 300 units of free power to all the residents if his party win the elections in the state.

Rahul Gandhi while addressing the 'Parivartan Sankalp Rally' in Ahmedabad, made several promises to the people of Gujarat, including the creation of over 10 lakh new jobs, building 3,000 English medium schools, and providing free education to girls. Gujarat is all set to participate in the Assembly polls later this year.

"The BJP government here will waive loans of top industrialists, but have you ever heard that they have waived loans of farmers?" Rahul Gandhi asked.


"I promise to waive loans of up to Rs 3 lakh of each farmer after we come to power in Gujarat,” he said.
