BJP deploys Central, Rajasthan & other state leaders in every Gujarat district

In the wake of the upcoming assembly polls in Gujarat, the BJP has deployed central leaders and leaders from different states as district in-charges to lead the campaign. The leaders have been asked to visit the state in the last week of October.

National general secretary Vinod Tawde has been given charge of Vadodara rural and Chhota Udepur. Similarly, national general secretary Tarun Chug has been given Janmanagar and CT Ravi has been given Anand district. BJP national OBC Morcha president D Laxman has been given charge of Dwarka and Porbandar.

Rajya Sabha MP Vijaypal Singh Tomar has been assigned Gir Somnath while another RS MP Laxmikant Bajpai is in-charge of Junagarh.


State ministers from Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh have also been given charge of districts. MP home minister Narottam Mishra is in charge of Banaskantha district. Two other MP ministers, Arvind Singh Bhadoria and Inder Singh Parmar, are in-charge of Bharuch and Kheda districts.

From UP, minister Swatantra Dev Singh has been given charge of Kutch while Dayashankar Singh has been given charge of Rajkot rural. JPS Rathore has been given charge of Mahisagar district.

All these leaders will cover the assembly constituencies falling under the district. A separate team of local and outside state leaders has been appointed in each assembly constituency.

Apart from that, the party has given focus to leaders from the bordering Rajasthan. A team of 100 leaders from the state has been appointed in 46 assembly constituencies. The team will work under the guidance of Rajasthan BJP president Satish Poonia.
