From Assam to Tamil Nadu, Bengal & Kerala: 5 Assemblies face April polls amid SIR row

Assembly elections in Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Puducherry will be held in April–May with over 17.4 crore voters expected to participate. The polls come amid debate over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. West Bengal will vote in two phases, while counting for all five assemblies will take place on May 4.
