Who's the Delhi CM candidate? AAP asks BJP on Twitter

With the assembly election drawing closer, AAP has been hitting out at BJP, claiming that the saffron party has no chief ministerial face.

NEW DELHI: Soon after the BJP came out with its first list of candidates for Delhi polls, the AAP had a dig on the saffron party on Twitter, asking it to disclose its chief ministerial candidate.

The post appeared to show a classroom, where one student passes a chit to another sitting in front of him. The second image in the post showed the student in the front reading the chit that said, "Who's the CM candidate?" and looking back in anger.

The AAP tagged Delhi BJP in the post.

AAP leaders meanwhile called the BJP "a team without captain and like a wedding party without a groom", after it released its first list of candidates without naming a CM face.

"BJP stayed quiet and this makes it clear that in Delhi, BJP is a team without captain, a wedding party without a groom. It has become clear that in Delhi, BJP has given a walkover to AAP and Arvind Kejriwal," said Rajya Sabha MP and AAP's Delhi election incharge Sanjay Singh.

BJP's first list of 57 candidates for the February 8 polls to the 70-member Delhi Assembly, fielded sitting MLA Vijender Gupta and former mayors Ravinder Gupta and Yogender Chandolia.

The list, which was released by Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari, also included former AAP MLA Kapil Mishra and has 11 SC and four woman candidates.
