Manish Sisodia only Education Minister jailed in liquor scam: Amit Shah in Jangpura

On the final day of campaigning in Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on AAP leaders Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Referring to Kejriwal as 'Bade Miyan' and Sisodia as 'Chhote Miyan,' Shah accused the duo of looting Delhi. "Together, Bade Miyan and Chhote Miyan have looted Delhi... Sisodia is the only education minister in the country who went to jail in a liquor scam," Shah remarked while addressing a public meeting in the Jangpura assembly constituency. AAP's Manish Sisodia is contesting against BJP's Tarwinder Singh Marwah from the seat.

Shah attacked Sisodia accusing him of a classroom scam in Delhi.



"Manish Sisodia has ruined the future of Delhi's children by committing a scam of thousands of crores of rupees in the name of classrooms. As soon as the BJP government comes, he will have to pay for every penny. The enthusiasm of the people in the Jangpura public meeting shows that Delhi is going to be 'Aap-da' free," Shah said.

The union minister added that while other states with a double engine government have witnessed development, Delhi has been left behind in the past 10 years because AAP only made excuses and continued to fight with the centre.

Shah addressed another rally in Bijwasan in support of BJP candidate Kailash Gahlot. He accused the AAP government for poor local infrastructure in Delhi and promised that only the BJP government can make Delhi a world class city.


"Water pipes run alongside power lines and half of Delhi floods during rainfall. People are still looking for a world-class drainage system, schools, sports university, and London-like streets that Kejriwal had promised them," he said.

The BJP leader promised to clean the Yamuna and develop a riverfront on the lines of Sabarmati within three years and provide free healthcare under the Ayushman Scheme for Delhi residents.

He urged voters to press the button on the EVMs so hard that it shatters the glass of Kejriwal's 'sheesh mahal'."

Shah addressed another public meeting in Dwarka.
