While the Election Commission of India has not announced the dates for Delhi assembly elections, it is likely to be held in early 2025.
"There will be no alliance in Delhi (for assembly elections)," Kejriwal said.
In the recently concluded elections, the INDIA Bloc alliance failed to win in Maharashtra, while sweeped the Jharkhand polls.
On November 21, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its first list of 11 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, expected to take place in early 2025.
The list includes candidates for several key constituencies, such as Chhatarpur, Kiradi, Vishwas Nagar, Rohtash Nagar, Laxmi Nagar, Badarpur, Seelampur, Seemapuri, Ghonda, Karawal Nagar, and Matiala.
The AAP has named Brahm Singh Tanwar to contest from Chhatarpur, Anil Jha from Kiradi, Deepak Singla from Vishwas Nagar, Sarita Singh from Rohtash Nagar, BB Tyagi from Laxmi Nagar, Ram Singh Netaji from Badarpur, Chaudhary Zubair Ahmad from Seelampur, Veer Singh Dhingan from Seemapuri, Gaurav Sharma from Ghonda, Manoj Tyagi from Karawal Nagar, and Sumesh Shokeen from Matiala.
Notably, several BJP turncoats and Congress defectors were included in the list. Brahm Singh Tanwar, Anil Jha, and BB Tyagi, all former BJP members, along with Chaudhary Zubair Ahmad, Veer Singh Dhingan, and Sumesh Shokeen from Congress, were given AAP tickets.
Meanwhile, AAP has denied tickets to three of its sitting MLAs: Gulab Singh Yadav from Matiala, Rituraj Jha from Kiradi, and Abdul Rehman from Seelampur. Additionally, Kartar Singh Tanwar, the Chhatarpur MLA who recently joined the BJP, was disqualified from his seat.
The last Delhi Assembly elections were held in 2020, where AAP won a landslide victory, securing 62 of the 70 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won just 8 seats, while Congress failed to win a single seat.
