Delhi election: Congress chief Devender Yadav files nomination from Badli; hits out at Kejriwal
Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav filed his nomination for the February 5 Assembly polls, declaring assets worth Rs 46.85 crore. He criticized AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal for non-performance and misleading promises. Yadav highlighted issues like ...

Yadav's total immovable assets are Rs 41.42 crore. His income for the financial year 2023-24 was Rs 70.47 lakh, while his wife's was Rs 25.24 lakh during the same period. Yadav has one pending criminal case.
He had immovable assets worth Rs 34.71 crore in 2020 and his wife had Rs 1 crore of immovable assets. Yadav had Rs 4.94 crore of movable assets, while his wife had Rs 1.30 crore of movable assets during the last nomination.
Taking on Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, he claimed that the former Delhi chief minister was scared of the Congress' poll guarantees and has therefore, changed the AAP candidates from Hari Nagar and Narela Assembly constituencies.
It also exposes the AAP's non performance in the last 11 years as the party has been misleading the people with false promises, Yadav said.
He said Kejriwal was an imposter who wears oversized shirts and broken slippers to mislead the people.
He promised the people of Delhi free water, power, healthcare, and education 11 years ago, but what the people got in return is dirty water, polluted air, dilapidated hospitals and schools, liquor vends in every corner, overflowing drains and sewers, and waterlogged streets, Yadav said.
The Congress has fulfilled the promises made in the states where it is in power, and will keep its promises made to the people of Delhi if it comes to power here, with law and order getting the top priority, he added.
Voting for the 70-member Delhi assembly is scheduled to be held on February 5. The votes would be counted on February 8.
