The BJP on Thursday declared its fourth list of candidates, comprising nine names, for the Delhi assembly election while its allies JD (U) and LJP (RV) will be in the fray in one seat each. Shikha Rai, BJP corporator from Greater Kailash-I, has been fielded from the Greater Kailash assembly constituency.

With the declaration of nine names on Thursday, the BJP has announced candidates for 68 of the 70 seats, leaving two for NDA partners. Shailendra Kumar will be the JD (U) candidate from Burari seat. The Deoli (SC-reserved) seat has been left for Chirag Paswan-led LJP (RV). The JDU had demanded three seats from the BJP but had to settle for one.

Shikha Rai, who is a corporator and has served as leader of the House in the South Delhi Municipal Corporation in the past, will contest from Greater Kailash.


Of the other eight names in the fourth list, three were for reserved seats. Ravinder Kumar (Indra) from Bawana (SC), Ravikant Ujjain from Trilokpuri (SC), and Praveen Nimesh from Gokalpur (SC) will contest on the BJP ticket.

Poonam Sharma (Wazirpur) is the other woman candidate in the fourth list. Bhuvan Tanwar (Delhi Cantt.), Chandan Kumar Choudhary (Sangam Vihar), Sanjay Goyal (Shahdara) and Anil Vashishth (Babarpur) are the other candidates.
