Delhi: BJP's Bansuri Swaraj tells Arvind Kejriwal to 'stop electoral deception' with scheme announcements
BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj criticized Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal for "deceiving voters" with two new welfare schemes ahead of assembly elections. Swaraj alleged that similar promises made in Punjab remain unfulfilled. She questioned the delayed implemen...

Swaraj alleged that similar promises made by the AAP-led Punjab government, such as direct cash transfers to women, remain unfulfilled.
"I would like to tell Arvind Kejriwal to stop deceiving the people of Delhi with electoral gimmicks. In Punjab, he made similar announcements, claiming money would be transferred to women's accounts. To this day, the women of Punjab are still waiting for even a single rupee. Not a penny has reached their accounts," Swaraj told ANI.
Earlier today, Kejriwal announced that registration for both the Mukhya Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana and Sanjeevani Yojana would begin across the national capital tomorrow (December 23).
The Mahila Samman Yojana promises Rs 2,100 per month to women in Delhi, while the Sanjeevani Yojana will cover the medical expenses of senior citizens above the age of 60 at private or government hospitals.
Swaraj also criticised the Sanjeevani Yojana, pointing out that despite announcing a health scheme, Kejriwal has refused to implement the Union Government's Ayushman Bharat scheme.
"With the Sanjeevani Yojana, I want to ask him: when you have been in power for nearly a decade, why did you neglect the elderly? Were the elderly of Delhi not deserving of care before? Even the Delhi High Court has asked why your government is not allowing the Ayushman Bharat scheme to be implemented here. His politics of hatred is preventing the people of Delhi from benefiting from a welfare scheme like Ayushman Bharat," Swaraj said.
