Terming Delhi elections as a battle of two contrasting ideologies, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said voters have to choose between the welfare of the general public and a party that siphons off public money for the benefit of a group of wealthy "friends".

"This election is about deciding how taxpayers' money should be spent. One ideology, represented by BJP, uses public funds to waive loans worth thousands of crores for its close friends. The other, our AAP model, focuses on providing free electricity, education, healthcare and transport to benefit the common man."

Kejriwal said the Centre had waived off debts amounting to ₹10 lakh crore of 400-500 defaulting industrialists over the last five years. "BJP has been saying 'freebie, freebie' but isn't this freebie? What would you prefer? A party that builds schools and gives free education and builds mohalla clinics for free healthcare or a party that gives freebies to the rich?" he asked.
