The voting for the national capital will happen on Feb 5, with counting of votes on February 8.
Here's a guide to know what is open and closed on voting day:
Banks: All banks will remain closed on Wednesday, February 5.
Government offices: All government offices will be closed on Feb 5.
Cinema hall/ theatres: All entertainment venues- cinema hall, theatres are to be closed on the day of polling on February 5.
Educational institutions: The schools, colleges in the national capital will remain closed on February 5, as part of the election process. However, educational institutions where polling boots will be set up may be closed a day before the polling day for smooth poll arrangements.
What is open on voting day:
Public Transport: The Delhi Metro, DTC bus services will remain operational from 4 am on the polling day. DMRC has announced that metro services on all lines will commence at 4 am, while DTC will operate bus services on all routes from 4 am for smooth travel of voters, polling officials.
Delhi Metro will start its operation on all lines from their terminal stations at 4 am on voting and counting day in order to facilitate the staff deployed for election duty, a statement said on Monday. The trains will run with a frequency of 30 minutes on all the lines till 6 am. After 6 am, regular metro trains services will run throughout the day, it said.
