Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lauded Chief Minister Bhupesh Singh Baghel-led Chhattisgarh government for implementing initiatives aimed at empowering women and fostering financial stability in the state.

CM Baghel inaugurated 186 development projects worth Rs 309.56 crore, underscoring the government's dedication to enhancing the state's infrastructure. He also introduced the Chhattisgarh Mahtari Sanskritik Samvardhan Yojana (Chhattisgarh Mahtari Cultural Promotion Scheme) to boost cultural heritage and tourism centers.

Addressing a recent rally at the Mahila Samriddhi Sammelan held at Jayanti Stadium in Bhilai, Priyanka Gandhi hailed the Chhattisgarh govt's efforts to alleviate the impact of inflation. The Congress leader said, "The state's proactive approach to supporting farmers, particularly by offering the highest paddy prices in the country, has contributed significantly to easing the financial burden on its residents." She also commended the government's innovative solution to the issue of stray animals through the establishment of Gauthans.


During her visit, Gandhi lauded the entrepreneurial spirit of Chhattisgarh's women's self-help groups (SHGs) and their substantial progress, made possible through government support. She also met with healthcare providers in remote villages and women engaged in various collaborative efforts, witnessing the positive impact of government initiatives on their lives.

Highlighting Chhattisgarh Mahtari as a symbol of cultural heritage and technology, Gandhi emphasized the state's resilient and empowered women. She praised Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel's government for its relentless efforts in empowering women through various schemes, benefiting over 10 lakh women.

Baghel reiterated the state's commitment to gender equality and cooperation between men and women. He highlighted the government's comprehensive plans to support farmers, Anganwadi workers, and the implementation of the Old Pension Scheme for employees.
