The final round of this year’s state assembly elections will kick off on Tuesday, with the first phase of polling for 20 seats in Chhattisgarh. In the state, close to 41 lakh eligible voters will exercise their franchise to elect 20 representatives out of 223 contestants. In 2018, Congress had won 17 of the 20 seats that will go to the polls in Chhattisgarh Phase 1, BJP two while Ajit Jogi’s party had won one seat.
