Chhattisgarh Exit Poll of polls: Baghel-led Congress has edge, BJP regained lost ground
The Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress government may return to power in Chhattisgarh, exit polls showed today.

As per the exit polls, Congress has a clear edge in Chhattisgarh but the BJP is also expected to put up a good contest unlike in the 2018 polls.

While three polls predicted a clear victory of Congress, others said that the party was in the winning range. The Congress fought the election with Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at the helm.


As per IndiaToday-Axis My India exit poll, Congress may get 40-50 seats, BJP 36-46 seats, others 1-5.

The Republic TV-Jan Ki Baat Exit Poll claimed that in Chhattisgarh, BJP will get 34-42 seats while Congress is projected to get 44-52 seats.

As per ABP-Cvoter, the Congress party may get 36-48 seats. The BJP, on the other hand, is seen getting 36-48 seats while 0-4 seats may go to others.

The Times Now-ETG exit poll is giving Congress seats between 48-56 seats while for BJP, it shows a tally between 32-40. Others may win between 2-4 seats, the survey says.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, BJP (35-45), Congress (46-55) are seen in a close contest. India TV-CNX exit poll is predicting 30-40 seats for BJP, 46-56 for Congress.

News24-Today's Chanakya, expects Congress (57) to win a clear majority. The TV9-Bharatvarsh Postrat also expects a hung assembly - Congress (40-50), BJP (35-45).

Chhattisgarh went to the polls in two phases on November 7 and 17 and the counting of votes, along with that in the other four states, will take place on December 3.

The exit poll predictions came after polling concluded in Telangana, the last of the five states that went to polls this month.

In 2018, the Congress won 68 seats in Chhattisgarh and the BJP won 15 seats. Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) won five seats, while the Bahujan Samaj Party won two seats.
