Assembly election dates announced: Bengal votes Apr 23, 29; Assam Apr 9; results May 4
The Election Commission of India has announced the 2026 assembly election schedule.West Bengal will vote in two phases on April 23 and April 29, while Assam will vote on April 9.Polling will also take place in Tamil Nadu on April 23, while Kerala and Puducherry will both vote in a single phase on April 9. The mega counting of votes for all 5 regions is scheduled for May 4, 2026.
