Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) team headed by Yogendra Yadav ask voters in poll bound Assam to vote against BJP.

Yadav in Guwahati said, “BJP only understands the language of power, seats and we have decided to show them power of votes".

There have been hardly any protests against the three farm laws in Assam and West Bengal the two Eastern states going to polls. Yadav said, "No farmer movement of India has ever started equally in all states. But once it gains ground all around, there is no stopping.”

Two parties opposed to Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) have formed a regional front. All Assam Students Union (AASU) and Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) promoted new regional political party Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) will make its electoral debut. AJP in alliance with peasant leader Akhil Gogoi-led RaijorDal will fight this year’s assemblypolls. The AJP has tied up with the Autonomous State Demand Committee from Karbi Anglong.
