BJP has moved election commission of India against Sibamoni Borah, congress candidate from Batadraba constituency after a video surfaced in which she allegedly said that she has included the names of people in voter list without taking requisite documents while she was block development officer (BDO).

An official in the election commission, who do not want to be named told ET, “We have received the complaint.”

BJP in its letter stated, “With due respect I would like to submit my complaint against Bora while addressing a public meeting in her constituency has admitted of enrolling ineligible persons in the voter list using her official capacity as BDO without verifying and examining the documents despite knowing that these persons are not eligible to be enrolled as voter.”
