In Barpeta (Round 13 of 16), AGP’s Dipak Kumar Das leads with 77,206 votes, ahead of Independent Gagan Chandra Haloi at 36,247 votes, while Uddhab Chandra Das trails with 3,008 votes as counting continues.

For the 2026 Assam Assembly Elections, the constituency has emerged as a key battleground with a diverse field of candidates following the recent delimitation. Leading the charge for the AGP is Dipak Kumar Das with substantial local standing. Challenging the established party lines are two independent candidates: Uddhab Chandra Das and Gagan Chandra Haloi. The polling in Barpeta was held on April 9.
