Guwahati: Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi termed the SIT report made public on Sunday an imaginary story and said Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma is rattled by the growing popularity of Congress in Assam.

Addressing media persons, he said there was no FCRA violation by his wife Elizabeth Colburn Gogoi while working as Lead India consultant.

Reacting to Sarma's allegation on his alleged links with Pakistan, Gogoi said: "When I became a Lok Sabha MP in 2014, I submitted my passport to the central government as I became eligible for a diplomatic passport. So all the data regarding my visit to Pakistan has been available with the government of India since 2014."

Gogoi said Sarma visited Bangladesh at least 10 times.

Gaurav showed to media persons a photo where Sarma is seen standing outside a Dargah with a Moulana (cleric). "The chief minister must explain the photograph. There was a political discussion and he must make public what the political discussion was."
