home minister’s rally in Assam’s Sonitpur and Nalbari
Dibrugarh: Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday asked voters to give one more term to BJP in Assam and assured that the state would be made free from infiltrators. He said under PM Narendra Modi, no one could dare to take an inch of India's land. He was addressing election rallies in Sonitpur and Nalbari.

"Ten years have passed, and we have worked relentlessly to curb infiltration. Give us five more years, and we will put a complete stop to it. We are committed to removing infiltrators," Shah said. "There was a time when Assam was plagued by insurgency under Congress rule. The BJP government has worked decisively to bring peace and stability to the state," he said. He said, "Around 1.25 lakh acres of land have been freed from encroachment by infiltrators. We will continue this effort and reclaim even more land."

Shah said Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Gaurav Gogoi have been opposing the move to tackle infiltrators.
