Amit Shah accuses Rahul Gandhi of ‘protesting against India’
Guwahati: Union home minister Amit Shah on Sunday said while protesting against PM Narendra Modi and BJP, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has now begun protesting against India. He alleged that Congress had "legalised, formalised and normalised" illegal infiltrators.

Shah was in Assam where he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for several health infrastructure projects and addressed a youth convention in Guwahati.

He said, "Under Congress government, around ₹150 crore was spent annually on health, and under BJP government the health budget in Assam has increased to around ₹9,000 crore." Targeting Gandhi over protests by Congress workers during an AI summit in Delhi, Shah alleged that the Opposition leader was targeting the country while opposing BJP. Expressing confidence in BJP's prospects in Assam, Shah said the NDA would secure its "largest ever mandate" in the state.
