Prime minister Narendra Modi is likely to address an election rally in Chabua in Upper Assam on March 20.
AASU president Dipanka Nath said, “We will hold a mega anti CAA protest on March 20. The AASU activists would take out motor bike rallies in every part of the State.”
Nath said that CAA is a threat to the identity and culture of Assam. AASU also plans to mobilise student activists to create awareness regarding CAA and clause 6 implementation of Assam Accord.
AASU will hold its central executive meet next week and also organise the delegates’ meet simultaneously.

Five people were killed in the protests. There was a large-scale violence curfew for several days.
