The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday released the party manifesto, ‘Sankalp Patra’ for the upcoming assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh.

BJP president JP Nadda released the document in Doimukh before addressing a public rally in the state. The manifesto promises the creation of robust infrastructure, women empowerment, employment and accountable governance.

Nadda said the BJP government would launch the Arunachal Pradesh Gati Shakti master plan for the next five years to boost multi-modal connectivity and integrated infrastructural development in the state by implementing projects in roadways, railways and airways sectors.


The party plans to work on the following aspects in North eastern state:

- Peace at all costs
- Power Generation
- Tourism potential

- 5G connectivity
- Natural Farming
- Sports
- Enhancing the overall potential of the state

Calling it a "well-deliberated document", Nadda said the manifesto showcases the party's agenda and vision for Arunachal Pradesh for the next 5 years, and elucidates how it plans to make it a developed state.

"Earlier, Arunachal used to be an isolated land. We used to picture events like terrorism, insurgency, abduction, targeted killing etc. upon hearing the word 'Northeast India'. Now, this is a land known for growth, development and prosperity," said Nadda.

Talking on the border tensions between Arunachal and Assam, the BJP president said, the dispute has been tamed and Efforts have been made to end insurgency. "Border villages now show growth more than ever," he added.

Nadda began his two-day visit to Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar.

Nadda reached Holongi (Donyi Polo) Airport, Itanagar in the afternoon where he was welcomed by senior leaders of the party.

According to various media reports, the saffron party will be launching its manifesto for the Lok Sabha elections this week.
