The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Monday announced the schedule for the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting for the financial year 2026-2027.

The first RBI MPC meeting of FY27 will be held on April 6, 7 and 8, 2026 with the final briefing to be held on April 8, Wednesday. The meeting is scheduled at a time when the world is facing large-scale disruptions amid the US-Israel war with Iran. The conflict, involving numerous Gulf countries, has resulted in global tensions as countries face risks of oil and gas shortage, inflation, and economic unpredicability.
