RBI Central Board reviews economic situation, geopolitical crises

The Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India in a meeting today reviewed the current economic situation, global and domestic challenges including the overall impact of the prevalent geopolitical crises.

"The Board also discussed the functioning of various Sub-Committees of the Central Board, Ombudsman Scheme and activities of select Central Office Departments," the central bank said in a statement.

This was the 598th meeting of the Central Board of Directors. The meeting was held in Mumbai under the chairmanship of RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das.


RBI Deputy Governors Mahesh Kumar Jain, Michael Debabrata Patra, M. Rajeshwar Rao, T. Rabi Sankar, Department of Economic Affairs Secretary Ajay Seth and directors of the Central Board viz. Satish K. Marathe, S. Gurumurthy, Revathy Iyer, Sachin Chaturvedi, Venu Srinivasan, Pankaj Ramanbhai Patel and Ravindra H. Dholakia also attended the meeting
