Narendra Modi government vs RBI: The turf battle

Most of the changes proposed by the govt in the Union Budget for FY16 will shrink the Reserve Bank of India's domain substantially.

A majority of these changes were recommended by panels, some constituted by the RBI.

However, the impact might not be quite what the RBI expected.
