India–Greece defence talks stress strategic partnership, security & economic cooperation

Delhi: In his meeting with Nikolaos Georgios S. Dendias, Minister of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, "India attaches high importance to its longstanding and time-tested partnership with Greece. Our relations are based on shared values of peace, stability, freedom and rule of law. During the historic visit of our PM in 2023, our bilateral relations were raised to the level of strategic partnership. The visit of PM of Greece to India in February 2024 further cemented this growing partnership. During this visit, a joint statement was issued for promoting cooperation in the fields of security, defence, economy, cooperation on India-EU relations and a multilateral forum."
