Sanjiv Mehta to be Unilever Indonesia’s President Commissioner

The board of commissioners of Unilever Indonesia is responsible for overseeing the policy and implementation of corporate governance agenda of company and providing advice to the board in managing company

The move will be subject to nod from shareholders at Unilever Indonesia's next extraordinary general meeting to be held on 28 July 2022, said the company.
Hindustan Unilever (HUL) managing director Sanjiv Mehta will be appointed the president commissioner (non-executive chairman) of Unilever Indonesia. He will join and chair the company's board of commissioners in a non-executive capacity. Mehta will continue to head the Indian business as also as the president of Unilever South Asia. He is also a member of the Unilever Leadership Executive.

The move will be subject to nod from shareholders at Unilever Indonesia's next extraordinary general meeting to be held on 28 July 2022, said the company. The board of commissioners of Unilever Indonesia is responsible for overseeing the policy and implementation of corporate governance agenda of company and providing advice to the board in managing company. The company's market capitalisation more than trebled to Rs 5.2 lakh crore since Mehta joined in September 2013 as it added about Rs 4 lakh crore in value - more than combined market cap of rivals.
