Mswipe looks to have 50% women employees by end of 2022
Currently, Mswipe has 2,900 employees and has plans to hire some 2,000-odd professionals by April 2022, as well as appoint women on its leadership team. The company recently hired Dhruti Gawande to head its new government enterprise vertical.

Until a year ago, the gender employment ratio at the firm stood at 90:10, where women accounted for 10% of the total workforce. Since then, there has been a significant rise with women comprising 30% of employees at the Mumbai-based company. It is looking to further bridge the gender gap and ensure women make up 50% of its workforce by the end of 2022.

At present, the company has women leaders heading important functions – Nayantara Bhargava as head - banking and insurance, Farhat Shaikh as head - helpdesk, and Smita Gaur as vice-president, human resources.
“As we look to hire more women employees in 2022, we are also strengthening our employee base with a vision to build a diversified and mission-driven team where women will have full authority in their selected roles, and share their knowledge and experience with colleagues," said CEO Ketan Patel.
The fintech company also employs individuals with special abilities and has offered ESOPs to 350 employees. It is in the process of acquiring an NBFC licence, and through its lending arm, Mcapital, aims to achieve Rs 1,000 crore in assets under management (AUM) by March 2024.
