NEW DELHI: Who watches streamed video content and who uses ride-hailing services? Pretty much everyone. So, that’s another great reason to be at the February 23-24 Global Business Summit, presented by The Economic Times and YES Bank. Because Netflix founder Reed Hastings and Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi will be among a star cast of global CEOs who will speak at GBS.

GBS, in its fourth iteration and with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as its keynote speaker, has always attracted the cream of global business. This year it’s even more special.

Hastings has disrupted the global entertainment industry, and Netflix is now both a great business and great content creator.

Khosrowshahi came into Uber after the tumultuous exit of Travis Kalanick and the man who beat a room full of competitors to get the hot seat at the world’s most valuable startup is also among the world’s most closely watched CEOs.

Between them, Hastings and Khosrowshahi can put the zing in any talkfest, but GBS has more. Jeff Maggioncalda, CEO of online learning giant Coursera, will be talking innovation and disruption.

And there’s Donald Trump — Junior. His dad holds the world’s most powerful office, and Junior is now co-managing the Trump empire. He’s always been a big believer in the Indian market.

And that’s not it either. Bob van Dijk, headman of South African media giant Naspers, will talk money and how to invest it smartly. Naspers, after all, has stakes in such Internet blue chips as Flipkart and Tencent.

There are some people who all these high-powered CEOs listen to carefully — those who run the world’s top consultancies. McKinsey’s outgoing CEO Dominic Barton will make GBS one of the last stops of his distinguished tenure. Also speaking will be KPMG chairman Bill Thomas.

Add this list to that of heavyweights from India Inc who are also speaking at GBS, and you know speaker roll calls hardly ever get better. Be there, at Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi, February 23-24.
