Blue Star appoints Madison World's CMD Sam Balsara as additional director

MUMBAI: Air conditioning and commercial refrigeration company Blue Star has appointed Sam Balsara, media and communication agency, Madison World's CMD as an additional director on its board.

He will be executing his services in his new role with effect from June 20, 2017.

Balsara, who holds an experience of over 45 years in marketing, advertising and media, has held various stints in Cadbury India, Contract Advertising Company (WPP) and Mudra Communications before founding Madison World in 1988.

He has also held positions in several associations like Past President of AAAI of which he continues to be an executive committee member; past chairman of The Advertising Standards Council of India 2000-2001 and presently its advisor; amongst several others and has been the recipient of 'The Most Influential Person in Media' by ET Brand Equity for the last 10 consecutive years apart from being awarded with several other awards in the media and advertising industry.

“Sam Balsara, with his vision and enthusiasm as well as an impressive list of professional accomplishments, will bring in rich experience and a creative facet to the Board of Blue Star, at a time when the Company is seeking to further expand its products business and leverage its brand," Suneel M Advani, chairman of the board of directors at Blue Star said in a release.
