SBI Mutual Fund, India’s largest asset manager by AUM, managed Rs 13.42 lakh crore as of August 2026. Here are its top 10 stock holdings and how their portfolio weights changed during the month, according to a report by Motilal Oswal Financial Services.

ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank
ICICI Bank was SBI Mutual Fund’s largest stock holding at 7%, followed by HDFC Bank at 6.5%. While ICICI Bank’s portfolio weight was unchanged from July, HDFC Bank’s weight fell by 0.4%.

RIL
RIL was the third-largest holding, with a 4.6% portfolio weight in August. Its weight declined by 0.2% from the previous month.

SBI and Bharti Airtel
SBI and Bharti Airtel accounted for 3.4% and 3.2% of the portfolio, respectively. While SBI’s weight remained unchanged, Bharti Airtel’s declined by 0.2%.

Kotak Mahindra Bank and L&T had portfolio weights of 2.9% and 2.8%, respectively. SBI Mutual Fund added around 1.13 crore shares of Kotak Mahindra Bank, lifting its weight by 0.2%. L&T’s weight rose by 0.1%.

Axis Bank accounted for 2.2% of the portfolio. The fund house added around 3.46 lakh shares, increasing the stock’s weight by 0.1% from July.

Bajaj Finance and Infosys each accounted for 2.1% of the portfolio. Their weights declined by 0.2% and 0.1%, respectively, during the month.
