The top holdings from the largecap segment in pure equity schemes were ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Eternal Ltd. & Bharti Airtel.

Mutual funds bought stocks worth Rs 15,900 crore whereas FIIs sold Rs 11,000 crore in the secondary market in July. In order to actively manage the portfolios, mutual fund managers add or exit some stocks from their portfolios on a monthly basis. Here are the large, mid, and smallcap stocks that mutual funds bought and sold in July, according to the Mutual Fund Insights report by Nuvama Alternative & Quantitative Research.

The report highlighted key additions across the mutual fund industry, such as were Axis Bank (Rs 4,000 crore), INDO-MIM (Rs 3,700 crore) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (Rs 3,600 crore), while the key reductions included ICICI Bank (Rs 3,700 crore), Eternal (Rs 3,300 crore) and Reliance Industries (Rs 2,400 crore).

Largecap category
The key buying was seen in Adani Enterp., TCS, M & M, SBI Funds Management and Adani Energy Solutions, while key selling was seen in Reliance Industries, Larsen & Toubro, Bajaj Auto, Apollo Hospitals and Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company.

For three consecutive months, the key additions by mutual funds were HDFC Bank, Bajaj Fin, HindUnilever, M&M and Adani Power whereas the key reductions were Larsen& Toubro, NTPC,Bajaj Auto, GrasimInds and Samvardhana Motherson. The new entries in the largecap segment was SBI Funds Management.

The top holdings from the largecap segment in pure equity schemes were ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Eternal Ltd. & Bharti Airtel.

Midcap category
In the midcap segment, the key buying was seen in INDO-MIM, Biocon, PB Fintech, Lenskart Solutions and Havells India, while key selling was seen in Info Edg.(India), Anthem Bioscience, J K Cements, FSN E-Commerce & Page Industries.

The key additions were INDO-MIM (Rs 3,700 crore), DiamondPower (Rs 1,600 crore) and Sterlite Tech (Rs 1,100 crore) whereas the key reductions were Exide Industries (Rs 500 crore), Angel One (Rs 400 crore) and Vedanta Oil and Gas (Rs 300 crore).

Mutual funds added 3MIndia, Astral, NavinFluo, Endurance Tech and Himadri Speciality Chemical for three consecutive months and key reductions were Exide Ind, L&T Technology, Escorts Kubota, Wockhardt and Procter & Gamble Hygiene.

The top holdings in pure equity schemes from the mid cap segment were FederalBank,Multi Comm.Exc., PB Fintech., Persistent System and Coforge. The new entries in the mid cap segment were INDO-MIM Ltd. and IDBI Bank.

Smallcap segment

In the smallcap segment, significant buying was seen in Sterlite Tech., Diamond Power, Lohia Corp Ltd., Shadowfax Techno and KFin Technologies while highest selling was seen in Ather Energy Ltd, R R Kabel, Atul, Sansera Enginee. & Welspun Corporation

The new entries included Lohia Corp, Kusumgar, Laser Power & Infra, Hind Rectifiers and Sigma Advanced Systems, while Tanfac Inds. and Sammaan Capital were the complete exits.

The key additions were Lohia Corp (Rs 700 crore), Kusumgar (Rs 500 crore) and Laser Power (Rs 400 crore) whereas the key reductions were Restaurants Brands (Rs 300 crore), Cyient (Rs 200 crore) and Team Lease Serv (Rs 100 crore).

For three consecutive months, the key additions were Reliance Power,Strides Pharma, Elecon Engg, Le Travenues and Equitas whereas the key reductions were KirlPneumatic, Alkyl Amines Chemi, Banco Products, Bata and SFL.

The top holdings in equity schemes from the smallcap segment were Delhivery,Gland Pharma,Krishna Institute, Karur Vysya Bank and Ather Energy.
