Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

Tapi Fruit Processing Ltd., W S Industries, Binani Ind, Soma Textiles and GI Engineering, hit their fresh 52-week highs during the day.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Tapi Fruit Processing Ltd., W S Industries, Binani Ind, Soma Textiles and GI Engineering, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Thursday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 13.45 points up at 16985.6 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Simplex Infra, Brightcom Group, Sanwaria Consumer, Indo Count Ind and Ishan International Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 28 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 22 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, BPCL, Nestle India, Asian Paints, HUL and Titan Company were among top gainers during the day, while Hindalco, Tata Steel, JSW Steel, IndusInd Bank and Bharti Airtel ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 78.94 points up at 57634.84.

Traders piled up positions in Building Materials, Gems and Jewellery, FMCG, Power and Beverages - Alcoholic sectors, while selling was witnessed in Infrastructure, Petrochemicals, Plastics, Paper and Metals - Ferrous sectors during the day.
