Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of GI Engineering, Foseco India, Ramkrishna Forg, Vera Synthetic and Network People Services Technologies Ltd., hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 71.15 points down at 16972.15 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as North Eastern, Agarwal Float Glass India Ltd., Brightcom Group, Future Consumer and Ishan International Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 20 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 30 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, Adani Ent., Adani Ports SEZ, Asian Paints, Tata Steel and Titan Company were among top gainers during the day, while Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, RIL, SBI and HUL ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 344.29 points down at 57555.9.

Traders piled up positions in Shipping, Building Materials, Apparels, Gems and Jewellery and Power sectors, while selling was witnessed in Infrastructure, Petrochemicals, Plastics, Media & Entertainment and Industrial Consumables sectors during the day.
