Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Chaman Metallics Ltd., Manaksia Ltd, Apar Industries, Upsurge Seeds of Agriculture Ltd. and Ascom Leasing & Inve, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Wednesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 45.85 points up at 17616.3 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Adani Ports SEZ, ICICI Pru Life, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Seamec Ltd and Mahamaya Steel, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 23 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 27 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, ITC, Tata Steel, ICICI Bank, JSW Steel and Tata Consumer were among top gainers during the day, while Adani Ent., Adani Ports SEZ, HDFC Life, SBI Life and Bajaj Finserv ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 158.18 points up at 59708.08.

Traders piled up positions in Consumer Durables, Tyres, Learning & Education, Auto and Metals - Ferrous sectors, while selling was witnessed in Glass, Textiles, Infrastructure, Financial Services and Defence sectors during the day.
