Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Shanthi Gears, Selan Expl Tech, Apar Industries, Premier Exp and Kokuyo Camlin, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Tuesday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 86.8 points up at 17577.5 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Karda Const, Future Enterprises, Agni Green Power Ltd., GVK Power Infra and OrissaBengalCarrier, touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 38 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 12 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, M&M, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Finserv, Titan Company and Tata Steel were among top gainers during the day, while Infosys, TCS, Divis Labs, HCL Tech and HUL ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 257.43 points up at 59031.3.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, IT - Hardware, Agro Processing, Industrial Equipment and Mining sectors, while selling was witnessed in Metals - Ferrous, Term Lending Institutions, Auto Ancillaries, Gas & Petroleum and IT Software sectors during the day.
