Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Motor Gen Fin, Automotive Axle, Marathon Nextgen, FIEM Industries and Silver Touch Tech, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 83.3 points up at 15835.35 amid buying in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as Shekhawati Poly, CMI Ltd, Viceroy Hotels, Jindal Cotex and Parsvnath Dev., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 36 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 14 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, HUL, Britannia, IndusInd Bank, ITC and ICICI Bank were among top gainers during the day, while JSW Steel, ONGC, TCS, Tata Steel and Cipla ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 326.84 points up at 53234.77.

Traders piled up positions in Telecommunications, Retail, Tobacco, Pesticides/Agro Chemicals and Beverages - Alcoholic sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Tourism & Hospitality, Media & Entertainment, Gas & Petroleum and Metals - Ferrous sectors during the day.
