Stock market update: Stocks that hit 52-week highs on NSE in today's trade

NEW DELHI: Shares of Akshar Spintex, SP Refractories Ltd., Commercial Engg, Apcotex Ind and Lancer Container Lin, hit their fresh 52-week highs during Monday's trade on NSE.

Benchmark NSE Nifty closed 51.45 points down at 16214.7 amid selling in frontline bluechip counters.

However, stocks such as JSW Steel, Tata Steel, NMDC, SAIL and Prudent Corporate Advisory Services Ltd., touched their fresh 52-week lows.


Overall, 27 shares ended in the green in Nifty50 index, while 23 closed in the red.

In the Nifty 50 index, M&M, Maruti Suzuki, HUL, L&T and Asian Paints were among top gainers during the day, while JSW Steel, Tata Steel, Divis Labs, ONGC and Hindalco ended in the red.

The BSE Sensex closed 37.78 points down at 54288.61.

Traders piled up positions in Rubber, Airlines, Telecommunications, Auto and Glass sectors, while selling was witnessed in Engineering, Agro Processing, Tourism & Hospitality, Metals - Ferrous and Media & Entertainment sectors during the day.
