Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 4.90 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 4.54 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.52 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.16 crore), Pricol(number of shares traded: 1.45 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 1.35 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.24 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 1.13 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 1.11 crore) and JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.02 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:21AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 46.6 points down at 17989.25, while BSE Sensex was down 165.35 points at 61154.16 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.58 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.36 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.80 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.43 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.79 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
