Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Pricol(Rs. 172.24 crore), Prince Pipes(Rs. 78.71 crore), Zensar Tech(Rs. 56.30 crore), Adani Ports SEZ(Rs. 54.48 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 54.03 crore), HAL(Rs. 53.39 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 44.44 crore), Ambuja Cements(Rs. 41.85 crore), SBI(Rs. 41.09 crore) and L&T(Rs. 40.77 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 91.65 points down at 17944.2, while BSE Sensex fell 316.94 points to 61002.57.

In the Nifty index, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 2.21 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.84 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.76 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.99 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(up 0.95 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 4.11 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 3.10 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.93 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.08 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.01 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
